Tiziano
Zanotti
Born in Bologna in 1964, he is a bassist, double bassist and composer.
After the Conservatoire, he attended various jazz and rock master
classes. He is a skilled guitar, piano and cello player, too. He
has participated in a number of records and live shows, playing
for Claudio Lolli, Nicola Piovani, Andrea Bocelli, Franz Campi,
Josef Alessi, Andrea Giuffredi and in several orchestras and jazz
and rock bands. As a leader he has made several albums, including
a solo bass disc (“Gestire lo Spazio”, Echoes 2007).
Within his extensive career as a music educator, he has recently
founded the BassLab.it, a specialised school for bassists, double
bassists and composers located in Bologna.

Alessio Alberghini
Born in Cento in 1974, he graduated in Flute and Saxophone at the
Bologna Conservatoire. After attending various music seminars, he
started his career as a performer. In July 2004 he did the master
class of the Berklee School directed by Larry Monroe, Giovanni Tommaso
and Roger Brown at Umbria Jazz, winning its prestigious bursary. He
has performed with different ensembles, with repertoires ranging from
classical music to jazz, Afro-Cuban jazz and musicals, touring both
Italy and abroad. He has worked with important musicians, particularly
Nicola Piovani, Andrea Centazzo, André De La Roche, Davide
Masarati, Sandro Comini.

Fabrizio
Puglisi
Pianist
and composer born in Catania in 1969 and now living in Bologna,
he has an extraordinary technique and a real talent for improvisation.
During his stay in Amsterdam and his close contacts with the Dutch
jazz scene, he could develop an original performing style which
include the use of objects and toys both in studio and live. He
has worked with musicians like Lester Bowie, Butch Morris, John
Zorn, David Murray, Kenny Wheeler, Enrico Rava, Steve Lacy, Louis
Sclavis, Ronnie Cuber, Michel Godard, Deus ex Machina, Dave Liebman,
Roy Paci, George Russell, Marco Tamburini, Yves Robert, Paolo
Fresu, Richard Galliano, Mike Gibbs, Steve Grossman, Gianluca
Petrella, Cristina Zavalloni, the Italian Instabile Orchestra
and Matthias Schubert, playing in many national and international
festivals. He has published many albums as a leader. He is one
of the founders of Bassesfere, a collective for the development
of improvised music.

Claudio
Trotta
Drum player born in 1964. He has been playing professionally since
1983 across a wide range of styles and genres: fusion, pop, jazz,
ethnic, rock, contemporary, sound tracks, funky, classical, progressive,
industrial. He has won a few competitions and played in theatrical
and TV shows and performances. Some of his most importance experiences
include the Deus Ex Machina, with whom he recorded nine albums and
toured the world, several concerts and albums with the Orchestra
Spaziale on Frank Zappa’s music, his collaboration with the
Orchestra of Teatro Comunale of Bologna and a recent project on
Brian Eno’s music.
